Flame angel in 75 gallon reef tank

I have a 75 gallon reef tank w/ a few fish.. the largest is a yellow tang.. I'm wondering if I could add a flame angel.. I hear some people have sucess w/ them and others do not... anyone have a flame in a reef tank? I want to try it but im scared!

I just added a Potter's Angel to mine. If you have a problem, trap him and take him out. I doubt you will have a problem.

It is a 50/50 proposition. Some are good, some are not. Some are good for years and years and then start eating coral.

Don't do it unless you are willing to put forth the effort to catch it if it does go bad.

N_Sarno, I have a flame and a Bellus in my 180. Both are healthy and have been good citizens.

While I think the flame would be fine for your reef, I also agree that you should be prepared to take it back out if it decides to munch on the reef!

i have a flame in a 29 and it does pretty well although i believe he eats small zoo's from time to time?
