Flame Angel in QT not eating

I've had a flame angel in my QT tank since Saturday. I've been feeding him once a day, but each time I do I never see him eat anything. I've tried flake, pellet, and frozen brine shrimp and none seem to be piquing his interest.

I do have a few pieces of live rock that I pulled from my display tank in there, so he should have some additional algae and whatnot to nibble on off of the rock, although I haven't seen him do that either.

So should I be worried about his finicky habits or not yet? Any other things I should be trying to feed him?

I would try frozen mysis and Rod's food. If those don't work, try live brine shrimp. You could also try chopped seafood (scallop, shrimp, fish). Pellets and flakes are a long shot for most fish just introduced to aquarium life.

Dont worry my flame did not eat for 8 days and now he will eat anything. Sometimes it just takes some time just keep at it.

I just got a Potter's Angel, and the same thing happened... my advice is to try and get the food to settle on the bottom or attach it to a rock (i.e., using a rubberband to attach some frozen food or scallop/oyster pieces to a rock) since dwarf angels are used to picking at stuff on substrate and not necessarily free-floating material.

What actually ended up working for me was using sinking pellets that were soaked overnight in garlic, letting several of these settle on the bottom of the tank and leaving them in there for the day. When I got home from work they were gone and the next day or so the Potter's Angel began plucking all of the pellets out of the water column as I fed them. Keep in mind, this all took 4 to 5 days for me, but can take longer for others.

Patience is key sometimes with Dwarf Angels when you first introduce them.

Good luck!
