So my flame angel was the third fish I bought 2 moths ago (after 2 clowns) and has been really great. Over the past few days I've noticed him head over to the smaller favia I have (which was bought from Quagmire) and nip it every once in a while. I've also started to notice in the middle of a polyp that its starting to turn white-ish.
Initially I thought he might be grabbing a pod that happened to be on the coral, but now I'm thinking that's not the case. Seeing that the nipping only started after I moved the coral, I put it back in the spot it was in before the nipping started hoping that he will leave it alone.
Anyone have some suggestions? He is such a pretty, healthy and awesome fish that I'd prefer not to have to get rid of him. Also, if I do have to get rid of him, who should I try giving him to? I'm assuming most people in a REEF club would not really like a coral eating fish. Again, that would really be a last resort if I could help it.
Thanks
-Kevin
