Flame angel questions?

I got my Flame Angel at Aquarium Connection in Kernersville, Ive had him over a year. He fought off ick with the help of some cleaner shrimp that eventually killed my Kole tang after a new Regal tang that had brought it into the tank. He eats like a pig, only problem Ive had is I bought a frag of the long stringy gray looking type of xenia and he literally ate it down to the core, and killed it. Ive had some of the short pink pulsating kind since before I got him and he has never messed with it, or any of the other coral in my tank SPS, LPS and softies.

I assume you mean the Aquarium Center in Kernersville, unless theres another store *hopes*. I'll check them out, when Im ready

My flame angel has been with me for 5 months. 3 weeks after Igot him, he mowed over all my digitata. Then went for my montipora. NEVER touched any of my hundreds of zoanthids, xenia, and any softies or LPS. I even have an orange sponge. All he eats is digitata.

If you don't have digitata or any montipora for that matter, you should buy my flame he's beautiful.

I just bought one on Friday.. these are great fish. Amazing colours, and the personality is awesome as well.

Mine is eating anything, mysis , flakes ,etc...

And I think mine is going after digitata as well, but.. if that's all he goes after SPS wise , then so be it haha, I can live without it.

that's exactly what I said. He only killed my digitata, and I was ok with that =)

Glad to here he doesn't seem to care for you softies, since thats mainly what my tank is going to be.

Mine tried to suck my xenia like spaghetti! but he never ate zoos, if i were you i would be most cautious about clams and brains. IMO. He has been much better lately though. He is a wonderful fish. i think they are best displayed as the dominant fish in the tank also.

My Flame has been great. He leaves all the zoos and other corals alone. Every now and then he'll mess with my yellow gorgonian but not often. I bought him from my LFS in Charlotte, NC about 1 hour from Greensboro. Great store. It's called FinTasTic
