I got a flame angel a few days ago and my LFS said that if i provided vegie strips for em he would be less likely to nip at my corals. Anyone know if this is true? Or what type of macro they like best? Ive tried Green and i also have red and purple but im not sure if he is just too shy to try or just doesnt like it.

dont really have trouble with my flame. But I have alot of button and zoo's ,etc. so would not notice if he did get one or two per week. When watching tank- he will pause and look like he is going to nip- but then doesn't. Maybe I keep mine fed enough of meaty food and reef blend = so he is not hungry enough.

Mine loved my Goldback xenias so much I had to sell it..
That was the only coral it loved. It would swim about nipping here and there but whenver it came by my Goldbacks, it would take 3-4 nips in a row.

I believe they are known to nibble on caulerpa - I just bought a tank I'm going to dedicate to macro growing - but no plants yet
