Hi I'm looking to get a flame angel , would it be okay with my Picasso trigger and snowflake eel? My current tank is 65 gallons drilled with a 20 gallon long sump . The trigger is about 3 inches long. Thanksfor the help

in my personal opinion that Picasso trigger is going to take over the tank. Those guys get super aggressive

Most Picasso triggers become killing machines once they become full adults. You probably have only couple years to enjoy the relatively peaceful childhood, so don't buy any expensive fish that you don't want to be his dinner.

That is a nice one. Any of the Xanthichthys will be much better than the Picasso to build a community tank.

To get the triggerfish look, you can also look at some of the larger filefishes - these guys are much more mellow. I have a 14" "american whitespotted filefish"(Cantherhines macrocerus) that has never even looked crosss-eyed at another fish, he is super mellow, just like a puppy dog. Random youtube video of filefish

My suggestion would be to rehome the trigger. For sure get the flame; amazing fish, and usually pretty good with corals. With a 65g you could get a really cool wrasse. Some suggestions:

A small tang could be okay in a 65g as well (Kole eye, Tomini, small yellow (for a while at least)). Here's a show-stopper, pricey and hard to find, but a really cool fish:

Thanks guys , no trigger for me then , my girlfriend actually bought my this one . Only had him for about 2 weeks . Mattcoug that is a sweet looking fish , I only want to keep 3 fish . So I really want 2 of them to be super active swimmers .

If I had a tank that size, I'd get a small tang, a flame angel and a melanarus wrasse. Good mix of color, very active.

Should be fine, I'd look for a larger specimen, to be sure the eel doesn't turn him into a snack. Good luck :bum:
