Flame Angel

How has your Flame Angel behaved ?? What is the worse thing
it has picked at? Would you get another one??

Picked my clams to death.slowly killed them it tokk time for me and asking questions to figure it out.Flame picks at the mantels.

I sold my Flame in favor of my corals. It was killing my golden xenias which are way rarer than a flame angel. I'll only get a flame angel if I go FOWLR.

I mostly have sps but he does pick at things. But has not done any damage long term. I also had a lemonpeel in another tank that killed every lps in the tank. The flame is no were near as bad as the lemon. I would do it again they are beauties.

A very hard decision because of their beauty ..... they are so colorful. I have heard that some do nip and some don't, but I really believe it depends on how much they are fed.

I have found also if you put a feeder clip in with some sheets that it will pick at that and forget about the rock and coral for awhile.

i had one in a 40 reef for 3 years, only picked at zoos once and a while... no signifigant damage. Didnt touch and sps or lps he just occasionally picked at various zoos. Its the luck of the draw i guess

I have a coral beauty (guessing their dispositions are the same?) and three frags full of zoos. So far he hasn't touched them. And I know he's always hungry; the way he tries to take my fingers off, you'd think he hadn't eaten in a week.
