Flame Angel

Guys can I put this in my tank with SPS and LPS? I saw some threads on here but no one mentioned what they would do. Even saw a tank with clams in it and they looked fine.

It depends on the individual fish. When they do nip, it rarely causes any damage besides a few missing polyps.

i have a couple of candy canes and some acropros and some zoo's with my flame....not one problem to be honest......

well other then the anemone killing one of the candy canes....

edit:
i will say it appears that he's eating them but in fact he's just picking pods/algae off the stems of the candy's picks at rocks alot to...i was a bit scared at first but never saw damage to the polyps so...

That's good to hear. I have ayellow tang in my tank. Do you think that will pose a problem?

My flame was a model citizen for over 2 years. Then When my feeding schedule changed to facilitate better corals, he started nipping, and ALL of my SPS wouldnt show polyps. After he was out, PE came out in full force...

IMO, not worth the risk.

yeah i got a yellow tang and a flame angel funny they like hide together int he same cave.....they are like buddies lol...

Use a seaweed clip (found at pet stores) and attach a sheet of dried marine algae like nori. That way the angel has a constant
source of food it can nibble on throughout the day. That should curb nipping.
