Flame angle and Mandarin pod competition?

I'm curious if a Flame Angle would compete with a mandarin for pods to any appreciable extent? I have 2 mandarins in my 90G (plus 70G fuge) so I really want to limit pod competion to what already exist in the tank. Some things I've read made me question if mixing these would be a good idea. Any thoughts?

I don't think a flame would eat very many pods. I have a potter's in my 75 with my mandarin and everything seems fine.
