I have a large, active flame hawkfish in my reef aquarium. He has very good color everywhere except for a small "patch" on his forehead that frames the top of his eyes. The color there is paler, almost whitish. I'm concerned that this may be the start of lateral line disease or something else.
For the record, he gets fed Formula One flakes, New Life Spectrum marine pellets, mysis shrimp (froz), mussel (froz), and occasionally plankton (froz) and brine (froz). I feed between 1-3 times a day depending on my schedule. I'm worried that either I'm not feeding enough food, in volume, or not getting him the proper vitamins.
Suggestions on what the issue is and how I can fix it?
