Flame Hawk with Clear Parasites?

Help my Flame hawk fish has some critters crawling on him, they appear to be clear and dont look like flat worms.

I'm using Melafix now and he's on about 4 out of the 7 days of treatment... limited signs of improvement. The parasites are starting to do some damage and I need some serious advice.

Anybody know what and how to treat this problem?

I finally caught the hawkfish and gave him a bath of tank water and melafix for 30 minutes followed by a two minute RO freshwater dip. I hope this helps my hawk he's a great fish and would be a shame to loose him over lack of proper diagnosis, help me save my buddy.

Parasites Removed with Fresh Water Dip

I was able to get the pests off using a 2 minute RO freshwater dip, heres a shot of the dead pests that fell off <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/CWCkrqkNjh-ync3lbILAqA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_pNGyYo71f_o/Sgm3Ef4XOkI/AAAAAAAAACU/7fH0FmaZsYY/s144/P5080041.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/Jbboulerice/CoralsToID?feat=embedwebsite">Corals To ID</a></td></tr></table>.

I figure the parasites are no longer in my tank as they have yet to return to my hawkfish or any other tank-mates.

That is Neobenedenia sp, an egg-laying fluke. Flame hawkfsih frequently suffer from this parasite.

Because these flukes are egg-layers, if they have been in the tank for any real length of time, there are almost surely eggs in the tank, waiting to hatch out.

If it was a fish-only tank, I would suggest a praziquantel treatment, but this may not work in many reef set-ups.

My Flame hawk is the only one that seems to be suffering from the parasites, I'm working on giving him fresh water dips for 3 minutes daily and he isnt showing signs of them returning.

My tank has a great deal of corals, is there a medication or treatment that anyone can recommend that is reef safe?
