Flame or Scarlet Hawkfish

Some of you will have seen my Yellow Tang in Nano thread, as a result I have decided he is not staying in the tank and am looking for alternatives that will be ok within my 24G Nano. Any thoughts on this Scarlet Hawkfish? it has been recommended but I have also heard that they can be agressive to Gobys (I have a shy sunstripe goby) and towards shrimp (I have two fairly small, one cleaner and one peppermint)....

any comments appreciated...

I have a flame hawkfish in my 33 gallon cube. I also had two cleaner shrimps but they mysteriously disappeared. I never saw it attack the shrimp, but that's what I'm choosing to attribute their deaths towards.

I would say they can definitely be aggressive towards crustaceans, but in my opinion the fish was well worth it for what an interesting animal it is, since you already have the shrimp I would likely say that odds are very good they will not survive with the flame hawk, it would be up to you which you would rather have.

I have 3 cleaner shrimps in my 180-g and later on add a flame hawk...never seen it brothering the shrimps but instead always on the lookout for feeding time. However, after having it for about 6 months, he mysteriously vanish...could be that he jump behind my tank as that's the only place I couldn't look :(

IME, if the shrimps are already establish and adult size, it should be fine...

They eat shrimp. If not sooner, then later. Trust me. But they are very interesting personable fish and highly recommended other than this attribute.
