It's a shame that these animals are being sold because they are very hard to keep alive in the home aquarium. In fact they are one of the most difficult bivalves to keep alive for any extended period of time. The bottled phyto unfortunately doesn't provide adequate nutrition for them and they ultimately starve to death.
But...that being said, you now have two of them. They will move about your tank until they find a comfortable position. Provide them with strong water movement and the best you can do at this point is feed dt's and hope for the best.
We have a flame and an electric flame scallop. Got the first one in July and the second a month later. Both are doing great. We feed frozen cyclopeeze. Not the bar but it comes in a bottle with a pump.
