flame wrasse breathing fast

I noticed that the flame had something that looks like slime coat/scales near the tail and dorsal area. It was eating fine however was swimming abit weird not sure if its because there is too much flow, then I noticed there were some white spots on the fish, not alot, only a coupe. I thought it was just sand so I kept watching it and then some days there wasn't any sometimes there were.

I started getting worried when I noticed other fishes started to rub the rocks but not frequently. I suspect it is ich so I took all the fish out and QT and started hypo, however all the other fishes are fine and swimming however my flame is just on the bottom hiding and not eating, breathing is faster than normal but not rapid. I am lowering the salinity for hypo slowly in 48hrs time. Somone told me to get Furan-2 and that it could be baterial and can help the slime/scales, but I havent' treated yet, waiting to lower the salinity to 1.009 before I do that. Any suggestions on what it could be or any advice on how should I proceed?

Wish I could be of help. I know the feeling of wanting to get a jump on diagnosis and proper treatment.
Could it be velvet at the tail and ich is secondary ?

It doesnt look like velvet though, im not really sure what to do, i have all the fish in QT now and lowering the salinity for hypo and see what happens. i think i will wait till its in hypo 1.009 and see how it goes before i start the furan-2, lmk what you guys think.

Remember to keep an eye on the pH when lowering the salinity. I have read that it can crash when lowering, therefore you will want a buffer on hand. Good luck!

QT at hypo now @ 1.009 and all the other fishes are fine and no signs of stress or ich, the flame is still hiding and hasn't ate since I put it in the QT sunday night. It still has that slime mucus/scales on the dorsal and tail fin area, I dont see anymore ich on the body and I think the breathing has slowed down but still not normal. I am maintaining the PH about 7.8 - 8.0 and temp around 78 and do 5 gallon water changes daily with Prime added.

I am not sure if I should use the Furan-2 now since its in hypo or wait and see if the breathing on the flame slows down. I just dont want to stress it further by adding meds and I dont want to wait too long to see if it gets better, I am at a stand still right now as I was before during the lowering of the salinity. I also have Prazi on hand and not sure if is should use that before Furan-2, as it doesn't seem like a internal parasite as before the QT it eats alot. Any suggestions will help, or does anyone know how to post pics on here so I can take a pic of the flame with the mucus/slime/scale on the dorsal and tail so someone can diagnose it?

update, flame still has not ate since monday, however it is not breathing has hard as before, I have dosed furan-2 for 2 days and have 2 more days to go, so hope it turns around. the other fishes are doing fine and eating. how long can it go without eating?
