Flamethrower BTA

I just picked up a very unhappy flamethrower. Friend had it in his tank that has a ton of flow, the nem is closed up and was hiding between a rock and the glass to get out of flow.

Here is a pic of it as it drips.
I'm really hoping I can rehab it

Well she's in the tank, turned the power head off hoping it can take hold. It was struggling to hold on, seems really weak.

Horrible cell pics but it looks like its found home for the time being.

Just light feeding twice a week until it gets healthy again. I use mysis or brine shrimp in these situations, use a baster to up some right on its mouth after feeding everything else in the tank and turn the flow off for a fewest to let it swallow.

I've heard keeping you alk very steady is very important. My RBTA is doing great (4 months). I had a hard time get info on what the want so I figured sharing my info will help others

Flow- none only a rio 800 return
Light- T5 150-165 par
DKH- 8.2 very steady
Salinity 1.024
Calcium-don't test my nano. It's mostly soft with 3-4 pieces of LPS
No3- 5 pretty steady
Ammonia/nitrite- 0
Live stock- Amphiprion ocellaris, rainfords goby.
P04- 0.03

Mine seems happy since day 1... So far so good.

1 week update. Everything seems to still be going good. Seems to have even more tentacles now. Still no real change in color but I figure that could take months. Eating when ever I feed it with no problems.

Here are two pics, had to play with the brightness to try and get a good pic

Never said it was beautiful, but it looks a hell of a lot better then it did when I first first got it. Its doubled in sir and the color is coming in nicely. Can't wait for it to be fully healed up so I can see what colors it truly has

I think it looks fantastic compared to where it started. I suggest you start feeding it Krill or some other meaty food. Small pieces... the meatier food will help it get it's color back faster. For me Krill did the trick and then I swithched to scallops. But make it a small piece ... like the size of a pea. Every other day will work just fine. Good Job!!
