Flash Gordon Identified!

dangling from the thread I posted earlier about an unidentified crab which I emancipated from the tank (gorilla crab)... the next morning...

My son said he saw this ...(and it matches the flash of color I saw in the hole)

Apparently this is a porcelain crab and so we'd better feed it? What else can we give it? (besides all the life forms on the reef? that I have not seen)

If it's a porcelain crab, it should have fan-like limbs that it waves to capture food. It should accept a lot of small foods. I wouldn't base the id on color pattern alone, though.

I haven't seen it yet. I just know that there aren't a bunch of little critters running around. Though I think I got a fireworm off of the rock I put into the 2.5 gallon. I want to get rid of that for sure.

But I'll keep you posted.
