Flasher wrasse and emerald crab

Is there any reason to be concerned that an emerald crab might sneak attack a flasher sleeping in the rock work? I'm adding an emerald tomorrow but didn't think this part through...

i'd say the bigger threat from my emeralds is them bumping my coral over. otherwise they've been great and don't bug my fish.

It won't eat the wrasse but it might spook it at night. The wrasse might jump. If the tank is covered you have nothing to worry about. I lost a clownfish like that.

They look kinda mean/spooky when they get bigger but I've never had them bother fish, wrasses or otherwise.

I doubt it could really grab one and kill it, but as stated above all bets are off. I don't trust crabs of any sort. There are almost always another animal that will do the same job

I just like the crab, I think it's interesting, so it's not so much about function. My opinion will quickly change if my fish start disappearing though.

Emerald crabs are cute especially if you keep them long term. They grow in size and one can get used to them pretty quick. I had one with wrasses and Helfrichi firefish. He didn't bother them. Now corals and anemones is a different story. The crab would hang out in stony corals and sometimes hide under anemone oral disc in search of food. I made sure my emerald got meaty foods at least once or twice a week.
