Flasher Wrasse - erratic swimming

I have a McCosker's flasher wrasse that I purchased about a month ago. It spent 2 weeks in quarantine before moving into the display tank. In the last week or so, he's started having weird fits of not being able to swim right. He'll flip over backward, corkscrew along the sand and occasionally I'll find him laying on his side on the sand bed.

Normally when I see a fish swimming like this, I would expect it to be on death's doorstep. However, this one will flail around for 30 seconds or so, and then snap out of it and be just fine. He's able to chase down food and he's still eating well... but something is clearly not right. Even when he swims normal he tends to "list to starboard" now.

Any ideas? Some kind of swim bladder problem? Is there a way to treat that?

Do I just have an epileptic/stroke victim fish?
