flat worm question?

I have a 70 gallon stock tank that is used as my fuge with a deep sand bed. I have seen many flat worms in there non have reached my display tank because of the 6 line wrass.
Tell me if this sounds good or give me advice on how to deal with them.

First I want to shut the valve off that supplies this tank.
than put the cheato in a bucket
use flat worm exit in this stock tank, net all the dead flate worms
in the bucket with the cheato drip some flat worm exit in to kill what is on that. rince in a second bucket
Do a 30gal water change in the fuge.
place a filter sock with carbon in it at the gravety fed return line in the sump
Turn the valve back on.

Will flat worm exit kill the pods in the fuge?

I just dosed my 20 gal tank with Flatworm Exit about 30 min ago. I'll let you know. But I've Been siphoning out as many as I could find every night for the last 10 days now. I've seen 4 or 5 floating dead since dosing, they've all been sucked into my HOB. In a couple hours I'll change the filter for one with Carbon in it.

Fingers crossed...I've got a huge feather duster population in this tank that I don't want to loose.

I have no personal experience but others I have talked to about flatworms say it is the toxins that the dying flatworms emit that can be a serious problem. One of the guys lost several fish and did a lot of damage to his sps corals. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge and experience will help you with our plan of attack.

OK, been about 24 hours now. I checked the tank every 20 to 30 minutes and vacuumed out any dead flatworms I found, then added carbon to the tank over night. This morning I vacuumed out a few more dead ones, then did a 25% water change and fresh carbon. So far looks like the flatworms were the only thing effected. All my fish, shrimp, snails, hermits and corals are looking great. And no sign of flat worms anywhere.

I did what I had said, lots of worms dead. I neted all the dead ones I could see changed about 30gallons of water and added carbon in a filter sock in the sump where the fuge drains back into. so far soo good I still see some in the fuge so I am going to do this all over again tuesday night.

The flat worms I am dealing with do not look like the ones in the other post. I have some fraged xenia and mushrooms in the fuge and I have never seen any flat worms on them.

The one's I had didn't look like that either. They were very red in color and all over the tank. They didn't seem attracted to any one coral.
