Flat Worm

Today I was told I have flat worms in my tank by my local LFS. Everything I look at on line does not look like what I see. I have very small, very flat things that look like a piece of green leaf with a red dot maybe near the head. Seems to maybe have a couple of small antenna. Alive and multiplying. Not sure what to do about it.

Sounds like flatworms. I read about some that have small red dots, but I don't remember much about it.

you need to get some Flatworm Exit and use it NOW. Have plenty of water on hand for water changes, and run lots and lots of carbon. You need to get the problem fixed NOW that there are few of them. You will be VERY SORRY that you didnt get them sooner once they have multiplied. When you add the FWE, it will kill a lot of the worms off, and release their toxins into the water, so its very important that you do lots of water changes, and run carbon a lot. I think everyone says you should use twice the recommended dosage, but you should read around the forum first... as i have no used the product myself before.

there IS more than one type of flatworm. i had some in my tank that were only on my mushrooms and never did anything to kill them, every once in a while i'll see one or two but they aren't going crazy. before you do anything make sure you know what you have in your tank before you throw in a ton of flatworm exit!!! JMO.
