Hello everyone , Maybe someone can help me out .. My buddy has 55g reef tank that has unfortunatley caught a bad case of flatworms !!! Its to the point where he can actually siphon these things out I feel for him he tried to put those nudibranch in but it didnt seem to work that well .... Is there any hope for him? any other ideas... help would be appreciated i wouldnt want to face that problem in my tank so im just tryin to help him...

Salifert makes a product to eliminate flatworms. It is flat worm exit. The product itself is very safe. However, dead flatworms release toxins that can cause problems.

If your friend uses the product, make sure he siphons as many of the critters as is practical.

Make sure he has plenty of newly mixed saltwater and carbon available.

agreed..i nuked my 360 this week with FWE. the smell of dead flatworms was horrid. my water turned a slight yellow color and every coral looked like crap. i did not siphon out as many as i could see before the treatment, dumb move on my part. however, after 3 carbon and 2 30 gallon h20 changes, things look much better. make sure you follow the directions EXACTLY or bad things will happen.
