Flesh Eating Bacteria?

SO here is the history on my 3 year old Goby.

1 week ago, Goby is noticed with large white spot.
3 days ago, the skin opens up.
today, under the skin there is a pit/ crater now.

Is this the famed flesh eating bacteria, and why can't i find a darn thing about it with google and searches?

This is the best Pic I can Get.

I am confident it is not a parasite, as there has been nothing added to my tank in months and months... [2 months ago i added some sps frags from one of the cleanest systems in Iowa- but that is it] Params are normal.


Any ideas, or places to recommend looking? What are the chances that this will be in the water and infect the other fish?
Would a UV device help?

I would get that fish into quarantine and administer an antibiotic ASAP.

what type of antibotic? My searching has only found other people with this type of thing, but no definstove treatment or even official id.

The QT tank is coming.. when it rains it pours with life as a whole..

I would probably use a furan-based drug.

I have found this locally..

is that a good bet for the QT tank?
