Flesh erosion on some Acros

My buddy noticed this going on the other day on a few of his acro's, I couldn't figure what it was so I figured I'd throw a picture up.

My first thought was AEFW, but there is zero sign on them, so not considering them very likely.

water params are all dialed in (0 waste, elements in NSW zones), lighting is HO t5's that have grown the acro's out to near this point.
Only real possible I can figure is too much flow coming out of a K3 nearby, but I'm not liking that idea, they ARE acro's after all.

Well any thoughts, it'd be appreciated.

I had the same thing happening, checked the tank early one morning and found a snail happily knawing another branch of my blue staghorn, the snail looked almost like a nassarius but bigger, promptly removed and disposed of him and the problem stopped. Good luck.

Very interesting! many thanks for the input.

I've been dealing with a similar issue in my tank, in my case I know it is not flow related because the tissue loss is on the side of the coral that is away from the direct flow. In fact as I type this I am thinking that is a clue to the problem but not sure what the issue is. Keep us posted if you figure out what is transpiring.
