Be careful I have scratched my glass in three places I take it out most of the time but I have been lazy and left it in for a few weeks on the scraper side and the first drag down left a bad scratch in the tank I'm not sure what is scratching it maybe calcium buildup on the blade there is no visible cause so be warned ....I made it 17 months without a scratch and now have three at least its on the side glass

I'm not saying it to bad mouth it I still think its the best cleaner I have used just maybe don't leave it in the tank ....just a heads up to the rest of you

U shouldn't leave any of them in the tank. I had baby snails some how got between mine and the gales scratched the heck out of it. That wasn't the flipper. Since then I don't leave them in the tank any more

I always check if theres anything stuck before I go crazy, but doesn't matter on our tank because the kids gave the glass a frosty look..
