Float switch states

I have two float switches in my sump as shown below:

As you can see in the image both switches are in raised state. However the bottom one shows as Open and the Top switch is in closed state in my Apex dashboard. Why is that?

Most float switch are reversible take the bottom off and invert the float on one of them.

Before you switch anything I would make sure that they are both working correctly. When you pull them out of the water and they are "down" do both of the readings switch as well?

If not it is an issue with the wiring or the float itself not sending the correct signal.
