float switches held by magnet holders

Can I use the magnet holders to mount the float switches for the osmolator, or will the magnetic current through off the switches?
Also, I have 6200.50 magnets & a 1/4" acrylic sump. Is this magnet fine by itself, or do I need to pad it w/ something like card board?

Maybe. This is a really iffy use, their is a range where it works and areas where if the float is positioned the magnets will set it off. It will be more of a problem with the 6200.50 then the 6080.50 because it is stronger.
