float trip

anyone interested in trying to do a SLASH float trip?just trying to guage interests.

Really, I'd love to go as long as it wasn't an overnight thing. If it was overnight, well, my parents still have me on a pretty short leash...

haven't looked yet but the meramac is a possibility depending on how far everyone wants to drive.I've floated out of steelville several times,needs to be in the early summer so the rivers aren't low/dry.

low is the best time less paddling more time to :beer: yes dry would be bad. you have to time it just right, canoe or raft?

Black River was real nice too...
I don't know if it is floatable or not yet.

my favorite river is the eleven point until I start hearing banjos then you just paddle hard till the sound goes away. Awesome scenery and beautiful waters. Would be an overnighter though.

Its been about 10 years since I've been on the Eleven Point and yes, some of the best senery in the state.

We've always done the Huzzah river for most of our float trips.

fishing is definatly a must on the float trip!!!! dave, we will bring my dog so that we can make some flies using his wee little tail and white fuzzyness!!!

Ooo, forgot about the Current river... if you like to fish that, you'd love the Eleven point.... and good to see another person who likes to toss a few flies around and them trout.

You ever fish down at Mill Creek down towards Rolla Way? I haven't been down there in a couple years, but that is one of my favorite spots when the water is high enough for wild Rainbows.

I haven't flyfished much the last couple of years because ALL of my friends are tied down to families and don't have the time to go

Maybe we can hook up sometime.
