Floating Coral Livestock

I wanted to suggest the practice of floating coral livestock, where possible, for your shipping methods. I just took receipt of a pair of mushroom rocks (order #A2558901-1) and when opening the bags, both rocks were face down on the bottom. Upon righting them, the ricordea was fine but the actinodiscus was in rough shape with two polyps completely detached and damaged, one polyp pretty well mashed but attached and the remaining three attached and in good shape. I'm taking some measures to try and salvage the damaged polyps but thought I would offer the suggestion.

Aside from that, the livestock is very high quality and were otherwise packed and shipped excellently.

Thank you for your suggestions regarding the packaging of our corals. The health of our corals is our top priority, and we are continually looking for methods to improve their overall wellbeing. We currently choose not to float mushrooms, partly due to the weight of the rock, and partly because the rubber band securing the rock to the foam may damage the mushrooms covering it. In addition, if the foam flips over in shipping, the rock would be exposed to air for an extended period of time. We hope this helps clarify our reasoning for these procedures.
