Floating Seahorse ?????

my seahorse is bloated and floating what should i do ???? my water is fine. everything is good she just blew up this morning and mow floating but breathing good?????

I believe this is some type of GBD. If you don't see any bubbles, it's possibly IGBD----bad... Get diamox.

Hi redhotlynn,

I am very sorry you lost this horse. I just wanted to give you a little advice on posting for help.

It's extremely difficult to diagnose a problem without being able to see your tank and horses.

People need to post the species, tank setup and all water perams,Ammonia,nitrite,nitrate PH and tank temp.
Describe the problem you are seeing as fully as possible.


When you say your water is fine, we have no way of knowing if it is or not. We need accurate readings.

I was trying to help a member not long ago and he was telling me his water was fine. After many questions, I finally found out why he had lost all his horses. His tank temp was being kept at 85F.

That is just one example of why you need to post as much information as possible.

If you have more horses in this tank, please provide the info above and maybe we can help avoid more problems in the future.
