Flow adapter for Tunze 6000?

The flow from the tunze 6000 is just too much for my poor 75 gallon tank. I have the controller dialed all the way to its minimum and halfway down the tank pointing straight along the back of the tank into a rock to diffuse it.

I would like to raise it higher up but when it is higher it flays the skin off my sps unless I point it along the back wall at the overflow wall which then causes the flow to bounce off the overflow wall and keeps the scummy film on the tunze side of the tank to not go in the overflow and builds up. Is there an adapter for this that will slow the flow a little?

I also have a seio 850 in there and have tried all combinations there is but the seio just doesn't put a dent in the tunze flow.

Thanks,
Chris

I am puzzled as I am using a 6000 in a 75 myself (pulsing 100%-30% on the multicontroller)and having no problems and I have a rose anemone and a few LPS. It really should not be an issue for SPS. Are you sure it isn't a 6100? The transformer on a 6000 reads 7210.202. You could use the smaller 6060 prop but I have seen people use a 6000 in an SPS 58 so I just don't understand why you would have this problem.

I guess I should check my facts before posting at work. I have a 6100. Maybe I can get a smaller impellar?

No, the impeller is the same size as the 6000, the way to solve that is downsize the transformer. This will cut the top end flow in half. Most people want to upsize so I imagine you could trade very easily. The smaller transformer is about $35 and the one you have is worth just under $70.
