Flow Director on Koralia

I never used the flow director pieces (the part on the end that goes over the cone and directs the flow), but i've noticed in almost every FTS I see on here with Koralias that they have them on there. I went ahead and put mine on, but is this necessary? Is there a reason its better to use these, or is everyone just putting them on because it came in the box?

Depends on which ones you're running. The K4's are notorious for only blowing out of 2 of the 4 holes in front. So I put them on my 4's but my 2's are off.

I have 2 K3 and 2 K4s. All mine are off. I dont like the way the flow directors look. Also I find that if I turn the K4s to the right position I can send flow to any two spots I want since the water flows out of only two holes like mentioned above.

mine are off as well. I kinda figure that if a fish can swim in there against the flow (i have #4's) , it'll spit him right back out anyway

I put mine on and have had them on for a bit. The only difference I really notice is that its not blowing my substrate around as much. I haven't decided on whether or not to keep them on or not yet.
