Flow for 120G LPS/softie tank - to stream or nano stream?

Just wondering which would be better - either 2 small streams, or 2 2045 nano streams, with the probability of adding 2 more at a later date when the corals grow out a bit.

Starting with 1 or two small streams would probably give me the flow I'm looking for - but I am opposed to their size and positioning them may be much more difficult than the nano streams.

I just want to make sure that 2 of the 2045's will give me enough of the soft-dispursed flow for the tank to have motion before dropping $200, and then finding out that to get enough flow, I really need more...

That is a difficult question to answer, they cover a 3ft by 18" area and it would be quite likely at least one more would be required. A lot will depend on position and rock layout.

The 6045 would not be a bad way to go, I just want you to understand another flow source may be necessary, you are right about how much easier they are to aim.
