Flow for a 785 cube?

I was told the same about the waveboxes with the extension for my cube and reefer414 is using it with good results. I think the wave may not be as big as in a shorter tank but would still provide some nice water motion. The wavyseas are great, I've had no problems ever with them. Fliger here on RC is using the wavy+ with a Tunze and he was getting some nice random flow if I remember correctly. Take a lot of pictures :)

Thanks Chetm2! Glad to hear that the waveboxes due work well in cubes. They would be more economical than wavy seas with attached Tunze for sure. Since this new tank will be predominately large tree corals (neptheas, lemnalias, sinularias) and anemones, I really want to get a natural looking 'back and forth' sway to the corals and some rigourous movement of the anemone's tentacles both for asthetics and better health of the livestock.
Hmmm....maybe two waveboxes hidden in the back facing the front and a wavysea with Tunze attached in each front corner facing back? Maybe an additional wavysea with Tunze on each side at mid point too facing down and in as well.

Are you going to have sand or bb? check out my thread, there is a video of reefer's cube and the waveboxes in action.

Yeah definetely you would need at least 2 waveboxes. In fact I don´t know if your old cube which is 47x47x36 I think, could work with only 1 wavebox. But if you could use only 2 on your new project that would be excellent.

And you know what else, you could place those waveboxes on the left and right side of the back, and put the overflow in the middle back.
Then you could use 2,3 return outlets comming from the front bottom of the tank like in your last cube.

Or you could hook the return to a wavysea and place it in a front top corner, but you would have to hide the tube behind some custom made wood frame or something for the front corners.
