Flow pumps

I am looking into changing out the flow pumps that I use to create current on my tank.
I have been using two Maxjet 900 with the SureFlow 1600 kit.
They work well, unless you want to use a wavemaker sequence, and then sometimes, but not all of the time, they will make a lot of noise when starting.
What type of pumps are you using in your tanks, and do you use a wavemaker sequence?

Tunze 6000 and 6100 in the 120g on a controller...
3x6025's and an OM squirt on the 58g... 2 x 6025's in the 56g... :)

Tunze all the way for me... I pulled all my Sureflow MJ mods out... They ****ed me off...

Can you run the Tunze's on a wavemaker cycle? I run the MJ mods on one with my Aquajr controller going in oscillating flows.

Let me know if you decide to seel the sure flows. Right now, I use a K1, K2, and MJ 1200 in my 29 with my return set at about 400 gph. Not sure what I am going to do with the new tank.

Wavemaker cycles with 7091 or 7094 controllers. Many cool features can be created with multiple units and the controller if you're using the 6000, 6100, 6200, or their modern counterparts. The non-DC Tunzes can probably be controlled with an AC controller, however, but that question is better asked of Roger on the Tunze forum.

There is also the 7095 controller which I have that replaced the 7094...

There will be another controller that will be released toward the end of the year designed to be programmed by a laptop...

I believe using the pumps on a non-Tunze controller voids the warranty on the pumps unless they are set to half hour or hour cycles...
