I have a 40 breeder with 2 mp10's. 1 on each end alternating between reefcrest, tidal swell, and intranet export at 100% throughout the day. This is going to be a sps tank the tank has been up since December. Here is a picture from when I first put the tank up without the sand and mp10's on. My question is, would I be better off taking one of the mp10's off and putting a mp40 in its place and dial it down and have that and the other mp10 at the other end?

There is no picture included. 2 mp10's is more than enough, flow-wise for your aquarium. What's the issue ur having with your 2 mp10's now? Why do you want to upgrade one to an mp40?
Personally, I have a mp40 and mp10 on my 60g cube, the mp40 is more than enough, however I like having high flow everywhere in my tank, and due to my rockscape I need the mp10 positioned specifically below the rock to keep to that preference.

I am not having a issue currently, I just thought about not having to have one pump always working around 100% most of the time while also being able to get some more flow in the tank. I wasn't sure if the mp40 would even fit with my rockscape. Here is the picture, not sure why it did not post. You can see they are on both ends.
