Flow question

I have had my 150 up and running for about a year. It is 4ft long, 2ft wide and 2.5ft tall. I have two large rock pillars centered in the tank with a bridge connecting them in the middle.

The overflow and return is located in the back left corner.

Currently I am running two mp40's with apex controller on a max of 70%.

I'm running into some low flow/dead spots that are collecting detritus and fish poop. Almost the entire sandbed has little flow. I continually see fish poop just settling on the bottom. This causes unwanted algea growth and cyno.

Any suggestions as to what to change? should I add some powerheads lower to get more flow? If so what works best to get random flow that low to ensure no dead spots. The upper half of the tank is fine. I have some LPS on the bottom so I don't want to blow them away.

Please help me out as I have been struggling with a solution for a while now.

I'm running 3 power heads...one towards the front of the tank high enough to break the waters surface, one towards the back and on centered. It may take a little time to get the flow correct.

how are your mp40's positioned? i would offset them to flow in front and back of rock structure one on one end the other on the other end see if that helps or add a gyre xf130

Top third of the tank on opposite sides. I have great flow everywhere except the bottom 1/4 of the tank where everything settles.

On my 150 tall I'm using 4 powerheads. Jebao though. Large ones are roughly in the same position as yours, but I have 2 smaller ones on back glass pointed straight to the front. That got rid of my dead spots. My large powerheads are alternating for about 10-15 seconds btw, small ones pulsing.

Here is my set up. As you can see I'm battling green slime algae. Pretty much in the low flow areas. Where would you suggest I put new power heads?

I'm sorry, I really don't know enough for a good suggestion, I'd probably put a small one in the middle a bit lower than your bridge though.

id keep one of the vortechs right where it is then move the other half the distance from where it is at to the bottom.... would also provide some really nice random flow.
