flow rate

What flow rate should I be getting for softies?
I got a 8gal tank and on it an adjustable 325GPH HOT filter.
with it at full, it seems to be moving water quite aggressively. Would something 1/2 the amount be ok (20x/hr)

Depends on the coral. Plus you probably have an area in the tank that has less flow you can move them to.

+1. Softies run the gamut from mushrooms who are perfectly happy with no visible flow to sarcophyton elegans, which likes reef crest conditions (turbulent flow and lots of it).
