Flow set up

At last my 2 x 6055s & multicontroller 7095 have arrived in Australia.

Before I place them, I'm looking for some advice on the initial set up I should try, without creating a sand storm or mini tsunami and upsetting the tank inhabitants! Tank is mixed reef - 370 litres; 1500mm wide.

From reading other threads, it seems that the best position for the 6055s are the rear corners, facing front centre and about 10cm from surface.

Should they face horizontally or slightly up or down ?

Which voltage setting on the 6055 power supply 12,15,18,20,22 or 24v.

What settings for the 7095 should I start with ?

Thanks for any advice.

I'd set them at 24v so they achieve maximum flow. I like interval 2 with the pumps set at 30 and 100%. The interval 2 setting in the manual recommends a setting of 1.5 seconds between pulses and the pumps switch every 30 seconds. I prefer a longer duration for each pump to be pulsing before it switches to the other, like a few hours to simulate the tides. So while one pump pulses between 30 and 100% for six hours, the other remains at 30%, then they switch. As for the positioning, at opposite ends works best and the angle depends on how much surface agitation you want and where you need the flow.

I like the 1.5 second pulse, but play with it until you find what works best for you. The 7095 is a sophisticated device with endless options.
