Flow VS Growth?

Keep in mind also that flow isn't exactly flow. A steady laminar (stream) flow will develop different patterns than a random or chaotic flow. I've seen the same acro from two frags grow completely differently due to placement on the flow of the tank. When a montipora in my tank changed flow because I moved a power head, it went from a nearly flat table to developing "fingers" at one end. Kind of looks like a weird coral encrusted hand now. But with eight fingers and a big toe.

just realize that wherever you frag you will get an explosion of growth there so you may end up with a strange looking overcrowded coral that hurts flow even more. Its not much different than pruning trees, where and how you prune makes all the difference.

Thanks Guys! Maybe time to get the mp-60's.....but with it in my living room I hear they are pretty noisy.

We have a 60 on our 210 and I don't think they are too noisy but then I've never had a 40 for comparison...
