just wondering if i need more. i know i can always use more but do i need it.
i have 2 controllable koralia #8s maxed out i'm thinking thats around 7000gph and this is on a 180. all my sps or still little frags and theirs not much rock in their just 3 small ilands.

it should be more then enough.

i have 2 #7's in a 215 and cant run them both at the same time or its to much for my LPS plus it blows sand around

Flow is the most important thing for sps... I'd even argue it's more important than lighting (past a certain point). I have 6 #8's pulsing on controllers along with a dart on 4 nozzles to adjust spot flow. I figure that's about 25k gph if they were full on but they bulse. I find the pulsing is very useful as it keeps stuff in suspension instead of pushing it into dead spots. Oh and btw I'm not bare bottom, I have sand
