Flow
Hey guys, I’d like to hear your thoughts on power head placement and gph. I have done up a simple diagram of my setup. I’ve been playing with my flow in hopes of finding something that both my sps and lps enjoy, keep in mind I have very few lps. Below is my newest placement and the issues I have are sediment building up on my SB.
Oceanic (57 gal 36 x 18 x 21)
The brown represents LR. The black circles are tunze’s. The one on the left is 1189 gph and the right is 660 gph. The gray circle is a koralia evo (425 gph) which comes on with my actinics giving a more calm flow in the rear of the tank at nigh. The line is my return which is a mag 7 with a flow accelerator. The return is aimed at the surface the 660 tunze is ¾’s up and the 1189 is mid way in the tank. The koralia is around midway and if flow directly underneath the over flow (black box). I feel like my flow is enough GPH wise but I dunno... Any pointers?
