Would low flow be a big factor in an algae bloom? I'm leaning towards - yes.
Thought I would ask anyway.

From what I've seen in my tank I would say yes but water parameters have alot to do with it too. Since over gotten my water right. I've had no algae except corraline

Flow will help keep things from settling and will help it stay in the water column so that it can get down to your skimmer . But you also need to find the source of the algae food. Flow helps but I would not say that low flow causes algae

phosphates in the water are the source of the algae. low flow would only help it grow easier, but not be the cause.
