Flukes in DT - PraziPro?

Somehow flukes got into my DT despite all of my QT efforts. I even treated every fish prophylacticly with prazipro (two doses 5 days apart). I have no chance of catching everything and quarantining all of my current livestock in my 400g display.

While I'd be open to alternatives to PraziPro (since I feel like it may have failed me in treating this already) I don't know of any reef safe alternatives for flukes. I'm currently planning on following the standard dosage of 5mL/20g. I assume two doses 5 days apart should be adequate? Any other suggestions?

I suspected flukes on my wrasse (scratching but no spots and my clown had white stringy poop). I just finished doing the Prazipro treatment the last few days. I took off the cap for my protein skimmer to add aeration and also added an airstone to an air pump just to be sure. I turned off the GFO/Carbon reactor as well. 1 coral wasn't "thrilled" but that only lasted 6 hours or so and it was back to normal. No more scratching but poop still stringy so I will be doing another round this week.

Yes this is fine. As mentioned above, just make sure you have enough oxygen provided in the tank during the treatment.
 
Thanks guys. And 5mL/20g is the correct dosage? It's never been super clear to me on the bottle. The directions start off by describing a bath and then provide the 5mL/20g dosage levels without ever saying there should be a different dosage for general quarantine treatment.
 
I dosed 100mL of PraziPro into the system last night and everyone continued on eating like nothing happened. Hopefully flukes start dropping soon.

One question I have is in regard to external skimmers while using PraziPro. I regularly see the advice to remove the skimmer cup and let the skimmer overflow into the sump while dosing certain meds. With an external skimmer this obviously isn't a feasible route. I'd be concerned with turning it completely off while treating due to lower O2 (especially with PP). However, if I drop the level in the skimmer down so it's no longer actually collecting anything I still end up maintaining a foam head in the skimmer body. Is the foam head that's building in the skimmer body the prazipro?

I don't know that I've ever seen any discussion on this issue.

I have the skimmer's exit valve wide open so it's not actually skimming. However, I'm wondering if the foam that's staying inside the body is effectively trapping the prazipro and removing it from the water (even though I'm not collecting skimmate). Does that make sense? I don't want to completely shut it off due to oxygen concerns with dosing prazipro.
