Flukes or ich

I have a pair of wanatebi angels.
Both eat like pigs. They have both today for faint white spots on there fins.
Maybe on there body but if so it's very faint and hard to see.

I am not sure how to tell if flukes or ich. Other fish in the tank currently look fine.

Want to get the treatment right. I don't think it's lymph.

Trying to get pictures but they are fast swimmers! Also no flicking or scratching. Maybe breathing a little heavy but only slightly.

Just very faint white spots/marks on their fins.

I can't see anything off those videos. Normally ich is more on the body instead of the fins.

You need to turn the white lights on as well. We can't see anything with only blue lights on.

+1 to the white lights, can't see anything really with the blues on. I can see that the pectoral fins seem to be beat up some and appear to have something on them. I would treat with prazipro wait 5 days and treat again to rule out flukes. If it is the onset of flukes it will be hard to tell since fish typically will still eat and not hover in one spot. look for loss of appetite, hovering in one spot, head shaking, and heavy breathing. Everything I just named could also be signs of ich. Flukes are much easier to treat for in a DT. FWIW I had a Wanatabei female in QT that ate like a pig for 2 weeks then suddenly died overnight, never figured out what the cause was.

The first few seconds of the first video you can see the front fins being cloudy.

Dmorty217 gives good advise. I would see what he says after looking at the video as well.

I would do a large water 40-50% water change and check your water parameters (ammonia and nitrite before). Cloudy fins and fin rot are caused sometime by change in water quality.

Maybe get some garlic extract or Kent Xtreme to add to the food. Guessing the fish eats seaweed?

Ok. Water Params are all good.
They donโ€™t eat sea weed. Plankton eaters. Eat flake, mysis and pellets.

Getting a fresh water dip and myaxzin ready but any other advice I welcome :)

Thanks for coming back to me. At least it does not appear to be ich.

I'd be cautious about treating with meds if you "maybe" see slight breathing and the only real symptoms is faint spots on the fin.

As for flukes, when I've done a FW dip for flukes the flukes drop off right away and you can see them on the bottom of the container. If you go this route, use a glass container as its easy to see the flukes.
