Flukes

To each his own, I just advise folks to do their own research and what works for them, works for them.

I am by no means an expert at anything in the fish hobby, I just try to read as much as I can when I can.

If tap water works, use tap water. If not, don't use tap water. I think we beat this up between ourselves enough. Folks can do what works for them.

Good luck and happy fish dipping.

Why worry about stress caused by changes in those minor parameters and then toss the fish into pure freshwater that is tons more stressful?

Jay Hemdal

Because ph stress is additional to osmotic stress.

I seldom do FWB but when I do I always adjust the ph to within 0.2.

Not a waste of time, IMO.

Kingwood,
Would you take being the curator of fishes and invertebrates at the Toldeo Zoo as being a "expert" and listen to his advice?

Patriot,
How is your fluke problem? Did you get your fish treated?

Flukes

Anyone ever have luck using seachem`s cupramine to get rid of flukes? Just received a beautiful 3-4" blueface angel today and the poor thing is covered in flukes. I guess that is what you have to look forward to when you can`t see what you are buying when ordering online. i have used cupramine in the past for pretty much any disease i have come acroos in my tanks and have had very good results. Just looking for opinions on the use of cupramine. I would use prazi but no shops here where i live stock it. Looks like it will be on my next online order list.
