Just wondering how long flukes can survive in a tank with no hosts to attach to. Been battling flukes on my male blue throat trigger for about 3-4 weeks. Have tried prazi and seems to be doing nothing as i can still see the small cloudy little specs on his eyes. Going to put him in my treatment tank and treat with cuprimine/prazi for a few more weeks and see if this finally works. Now getting back to how long would i have to leave the tank fishless to ensure the flukes are dead? Do flukes infest snails and/or starfish and should they be removed as well?
