Flukes?

I've got a large purple firefish that I've had since last thanksgiving. She's been somewhat of a picky eater. Started on mysis then around December started only taking formula 2 soaked in zoecon. About a week ago my wife moved a bunch of rock around to catch a zebra blenny, after re-aquascaping all the fish staked out new territories and the firefish got picked on. She's been sitting on the bottom in the back of the tank and won't eat. The other fish beat her up some and so her fins are kind of ragged, but I don't see any other signs of disease. I've seen her swim up to food, then turn away.

I've been looking in the disease forum and can only come up with flukes. She doesn't appear to be breathing fast, and if it were brook she'd be gone by now. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow. Any ideas? Should I try a freshwater dip?

Too much stress can cause a fish not to eat. Is the fish really thin by now? You might move the fish carefully to a Qtank without removing it from the water. Then try hyposalinity and a good antibiotic in the Qtank. Maracyn-Two, nitrofurazone or furanase.

She's not too thin. She's lost some weight but was real fat when she stopped eating. I'll try to post some pictures.

The fish may start to eat again when it is not being bullied. You might try some live adult brine shrimp first just to get it started eating again. I hope it is not too late.
