Fluorescence in colonial diatoms

Real, yet abstract. Awesome. I like 3, 2, 1 in that order. Is the color observed the same as the illumination during scanning or is it computer assigned / controlled?
 
Nope the colour is exactly as viewed through the eyepieces of the microscope. It is called autofluorescence of the chlorophyll in the diatom's chloroplasts.
