Fluval edge rim question

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone knew if weld-on would bond to the rim of the edge? I know some plastics are incompatible and I have a overflow that I'd like to attach. Thanks!

I think the Fluval Edge is acrylic. If it is then it would bond perfectly, as that's what it's designed to do. If the tank is glass, then just use 100% silicone.

Tank is glass, rim is acrylic or some type of plastic.
