So my edge has been up and running for about 4 months now. I have an Ultrabrite reed led hood for lighting. I have a hydor pico 180 powerhead.

Livestock includes:
True perc clown
Oranged striped goby
Maxima clam
Open brain coral
Candy cane coral
Frogspawn
GSP
Xenia tree
Zoanthids
Acans
Button polyps

Any suggestions are appreciated, I want to do something with the waterflow to improve it and make it more natural!

No way. You haven't seen mine. My anemone keeps moving so I just have everything everywhere lol.

It's not just lights though cause I have leds super bright. But I am overfeeding some I believe and need to change the timer on my lights to cut back a couple hours.

We have an led fixture with 8 3w leds and today i bypassed 2 so now there's only 6 because i notice the Coraline receding and starting to bleach in areas.

I run the light for 7-8 hours sorry I do have clean up crew 2 snails 4 hermits, I blow the rocks with a turkey baster everytime I do a water change. The water flow helps also as well as the sand sifting goby

Wow I never heard of coralline bleaching Lol. But I actually don't think that's bad. I ordered a custom light built in hood and I have a finnex ray 2 on front cause I wanted even more light but it might be little to intense. But everything seems fine so far. I just wish this anemone would settle so I can straighten the tank out. I might need to scape my rocks over and rearrange. Idk but anyways, I think the tank looks great so keep up the good work!

Personally depending on how much I feed I'll do 10-15% water change either every 5-7 days. I don't have an exact schedule like some people. Lol.

Sorry to stray off your topic lol we are just kinda new and usually don't get any answers when we ask questions on forums. The tank does look great maybe a suggestion would be some cool moonlight unless you already have that covered.

The light I have has a moonlight setting but I may get additional ones, definitely on my list. Did you order the Ultrabrite reef hood?

Well my custom hood actually has blues built in as well but since I am using a coralife plug timer I just bought some led strips off eBay and they are hooked up with a 12v school adapter. I'll show you. Just don't laughter cause like I said tank is looking crazy right now.

Bad quality taken with my tablet but they actually are bluer than the pic shows. These are 5050 blue led strips 6 leds each.

No it was too expensive at the time so i decided to make my own light. Well after it was all said and done it would have only been a little bit more to buy the ultra brite hood. Oh well i got a sense of accomplishment from building my lights lol.

Do you have a link for the led strips? I tried what everyone told me to do which was get a led night light from walmart. Epic fail not even enough light lol.

Heck it's nothing wrong with that. I'm just a little lazy when it comes to some things ha-ha but those are the lights I bought. :p
